Phil Koren – Judge Advocate

Military – 22 years military service; U.S. Army Field Artillery Officer ,Vietnam (1968-1969) First Field Force, Vietnam,; where he served as Forward Observer, Battery Officer and General’s Aide.  He served as Battery Commander and Division Staff Officer, 3d Armored Division, Germany, 1970-1974.  He attended law school and served consecutively at Fort Sam Houston, Texas, XVIII Airborne Corps, Fort Bragg, The U.S. Army Judge Advocate General’s School, Charlottesville, Virginia, Training and Doctrine Command, Fort Monroe, Virginia and various tours in Washington, D.C., 1977-1989.   Mr. Koren retired as a Lieutenant Colonel, U.S. Army, JAGC, on April 1, 1989.  Thereafter, he served as the Principal Deputy General Counsel, Defense Commissary Agency retiring again on January 11, 2014.

Civilian – Retired military/Retired DoD Civil Servant.
